✨ Weekend Recipe Inspiration from the shelves of The Nook & Scranny 🧑‍🍳

One-pan wonder → feeds 2 🥂

🛒 Shopping List
- Fresh locally caught cod
- Merchant Gourmet Spanish grains
- Cherry tomatoes
- Asparagus
- Spinach
- Fresh lime
- Green beans
- Butter
- White Mausu chilli oil (optional – swap for regular oil if spice isn’t your thing!)

🔥 Method in Minutes:
1. Heat up your pan with a splash of oil + 10 cherry tomatoes.
2. Place cod in the centre, fry 4–5 mins, then flip.
3. Add asparagus + green beans around the sides, cook 3 mins.
4. Drop in a knob of butter → let it melt + sizzle.
5. Stir in Spanish grains, squeeze fresh lime, then add a handful of spinach on top to steam.
6. Cook 2 mins, remove from the heat + dish up onto 2 plates.

Simple, fresh & very delicious!🐟🌱🍋

🥢 Weekend Recipe Inspiration from the Nook & Scranny Shelves 🍲

As the evenings get colder, we’re all about warm, comforting broths – here’s a quick & tasty ramen-style recipe for 2!

Shopping list
- Itsu noodles (spicy or original – your choice!)
- Tenderstem broccoli
- Chestnut mushrooms
- Garlic & ginger (lazy jars or fresh)
- Bean sprouts
- Fresh coriander (or swap for mint/spring onion)
- Optional extras: chilli oil, boiled eggs or Drivers chilli eggs

Method
1. Slice mushrooms, garlic & ginger.
2. Cook noodles in boiling water for 3–4 mins, then drain & divide into 2 bowls.
3. In another pot, fry mushrooms for 2–3 mins, then add garlic & ginger for 1 min.
4. Add 500ml water to the pot & bring to the boil.
5. Add broccoli, cover & steam for 2–3 mins.
6. Stir in Itsu broth mix, then season to taste (we recommend soy sauce, fish sauce, fresh lime & chilli oil for lots of flavour)
7. Pour broth & veggies over noodles.
8. Top with egg & fresh herbs.
